Why do I do this to myself?
Each year, I nervously present my heart on a plate as I enter images into some of the most prestigious photography competitions in New Zealand and the world. Often these images have personal content or special meaning to me - it's work I'm proud of or they contain people I love and care about - and each category has very strict rules around content and how much editing can be done. It's a bit scary!!
But, I've done well!! And it's been an amazing learning opportunity, receiving feedback from some of the world's best photographers, pushing me to develop skills and extend my creativity.
