FAQs

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I've been photographing weddings for 6 years now and I can truly say that I love it!

I tend to limit weddings to about 10 - 12 per year, so that I can continue with my family and newborn work as well. I believe that it is this variety that keeps me fresh and excited, as I look forward to each and every wedding.

What's your style?

I have a contemporary classic style. I have a knack of finding the best light, I like depth to my images and I tend to prefer rich colours or strong black and whites. I like to plan ahead so that we can go with the flow on the day. Your day with me with fun but relaxed. I'll give you space at the right moments but be there to capture the good stuff when it counts.

We feel awkward in front of the camera!

Let's face it - not many people do feel comfortable in the front of the camera! But I pride myself on being able to make things fun and relaxing as possible, and this is the feedback that I most regularly receive. So don't panic! I'll give you some gentle guidance for the couple shots, but it's mostly about you enjoying yourselves and it's my job to capture the right moments.

If you do want some practise though, I'd recommend an engagement session. This way, you'll know exactly what to expect on the day and it won't be so daunting (and you'll get some awesome photos out of it too!!)

How do we book?

Contact me for a price guide and if you're keen to go ahead, we'll arrange a time to chat or meet for a coffee/wine. If we feel like a good fit for each other (let's face it, we'll being seeing a lot of each other on your big day, so we'll want it to be easy), I'll send you a booking form and invoice for the retainer, which secures your date.

How do we get our photos?

Galleries are usually ready within 6 - 8 weeks. A sneak peek will be delivered to you with a day or 2 of your wedding to share online, if you wish.

Your final images will be uploaded to a password protected online gallery, from which you can download them in full resolution or web size. You can also use this gallery to purchase printed items, make favourites lists or share images with friends and family.

Do you sell albums?

YES!! I use Queensberry for albums, which are a world leading album maker from right here in New Zealand (go check them out!!).

I also provide beautiful fine art prints, framed canvases and lustre prints.

I have to say, I am a strong advocate of printing your images. I mean, they're not going to be enjoyed on a USB at the back of the drawer!! Whether you would like them professionally finished and printed by me, or just want to do it yourself, PLEASE get them printed and on your walls - so you can enjoy them everyday!!
